A start up agri-bussiness for AGU student

A postgraduate student has completed their Master degree in rural development, Ms Le Thai Mong Huyen, from My Phu Dong Commune of Thoai Son District, An Giang province, decided to convert 2 hectares of conventional short-term rice (three crops/year), to an integrated floating rice-based farming systems, funded by the Mitsui & Co. Environment Fund:

She wishes to develop a resilient farming system that mitigates environmental impacts due to overuse of pesticides and chemical fertilizers which is perceived to affect community health and well-being. She diversifies crops and promotes agrobiodiversity for improving rural livelihoods.
