Research Project: Social perceptions of the organics industry in Vietnam

This project aims to understand the perceptions of different actors involving in the organics industry in Vietnam. The project is funded by SEARCA for Dr Van Kien Nguyen and his team at An Giang University, Research Centre for Rural Development. The project will be implemented in one year.

The Mekong Organics received a travel grant for six Vietnamese farmers who are in transitional period of converting to organic farming in the Mekong Delta. This is one of the activity that aims to link Australian and Vietnamese organic industry. The project is funded by Rotary Club of Hall in ACT Canberra Australia. Farmers will arrive Australia in later 2019 for 1 week.

The aim of the project is to develop a new link between Australian and Vietnam for promoting organic agriculture movement through training and workshop. The project is led by Australia Award for Vietnam team (AAV), alumni, at An Giang Univeristy (Dr Van Kien Nguyen, project leader, Founder of Mekong Organics, Mr Le Ngoc Hiep and Mr Nguyen Van Thai), funded by Australian Government (Aus4Skills).
